Photos and information of local crematoria

Beckenham Crematorium is privately owned and opened in 1956 in the grounds of Beckenham Cemetery. We show external and internal photos of the Chapel which holds approximately 90 people seated and the same number standing. The chapel has the Obitus Music System installed and the normal service time is 45 minutes (total) but this can be extended if an extra fee is paid to the Crematorium. Obviously, the funeral service can take place in a local Church with the committal service only held at the Crematorium (either before or after the Church service). The Chapel has chairs which can easily be removed to allow wheelchair access. The coffin is placed on the catafalque and is lowered at the committal stage to simulate a burial. The coffin does not have to be lowered and this topic should be discussed wIth the celebrant conducting the service. We also show the Garden of Remembrance which has a vast array of memorabilia to choose from.

Visual Tributes can be arranged (for an additional fee) to further personalise the service. A webcam link is also available for those unable to attend the service (for an additional fee). The memorial garden has several options for cremated remains and we recommend a visit to see the options available. Bluebell is situated on Old London Road, Halstead and is easily accessed.
